Dear friends of the White Horse Inn;
In 1963, as a young traveller, the late Frank D. Schaefer created a world apart by opening the White Horse. Born in Germany, he arrived in Provincetown and found himself at home.
Since then we have welcomed visitors of all kinds. It has been a marvellous, enriching experience for us. Thank you for all the fun and friendship. Your patronage has kept the White Horse unique and lively.
Alas, after more than sixty summers and sixty winters, the time has come to close its doors. The two-hundred-year-old captain's house on Daggett Lane will have a new life.
I wish you each all that is good and wonderful.
With kind regards,
the Innkeeper
